Welcome to oclaa

Occidental College Latino Alumni Association (OCLAA) is dedicated to serving the needs of Oxy's Latino/a students, alumni, and extended community. 
OCLAA aims to:
  1. Organize social and cultural events to provide an opportunity for Latino/a Alumni to connect with students, alumni, and reacquaint themselves with the college.
  2. Work in partnership with the College to address issues that may impact the interests and concerns of Latino/a students and the greater Latino/a community.
  3. Engage in fundraising for the College through donations to OCLAA and the Latino/a Scholarship Fund.
  4. Advocate for the educational and career advancement of Latino/a students and alumni.

Led by volunteers, your donation to OCLAA will have ripple effects and help directly support our work that includes to:
  • Create events and programs that support student development such as the OCLAA Mentorship program
  • Provide students with treats during finals week via our Finals Fuel event (pizza parties, coffee, etc.)
  • Organize and grow the association covering administrative costs such as software fees for the newsletter and this website
  • Plan alumni networking events!
  • And much more that the OCLAA leadership team plans for alumni, students, and the Jose Silva Scholarship!​
