ABOUT
In collaboration with Professor Puerto from the Latinx and Latin American Studies and Professor Bolyanatz from the Spanish Department, OCLAA launched an Oral History Project that documented the stories of 24 Latinx alumni spanning generations. During student-led recorded interviews, Narrators shared personal memories of their time at Oxy and highlighted their personal connection to either food or language.
Stories were showcased at the Mary Norton Clapp Library on February 2024 and are now permanently housed in the Special Collections & College Archives. View event photos here.
