Mentorship program overview


​Our mentorship program is intended to strengthen the opportunities for Oxy Latinx students to succeed in their educational, career, and life goals by pairing them with caring Latinx alumni who offer guidance, support, and encouragement as they navigate through their college experience at Oxy.  Additionally, this one-on-one mentorship program is aimed at developing the competence and character of the mentee and teach them how to participate in and positively impact an increasingly diverse world.

For a semester, mentors and mentees meet monthly (virtually or in-person) to discuss a planned topic and get to know each other. Over the course of the semester, mentors will strengthen their relationship with their mentees and support them as they navigate their college experience. 

Our Mentorship Program will begin for the 2025 - 2026 school year. Stay tuned for when we launch our next cycle!

  • Any Oxy graduate who identifies as Latino/a/x 
  • Looking to support an Oxy student with mentorship
  • Willing to dedicate 1 hour per month to engage with mentee

mentees

  • Any current Oxy student who identifies as Latino/a/x
  • Looking for guidance/support from an Oxy grad
  • Willing to dedicate 1 hour per month to engage with mentor
