OCTOBER: MY STORY
Welcome to your first month of our mentorship program!
We are so glad you have signed up and look forward to going on this 8 month journey with you.
Our goal for October is to get to know each other by sharing parts of our stories.
We encourage you to use these set of questions to get to know each other. By answering these questions, we hope you find things that you have in common and elements of your stories that make you unique. Likely you will have follow-up questions and engage in a meaningful conversation that allows you both to connect. In addition to these getting to know you questions, we also encourage mentees to share with their mentors anything specifically that they would like support with in this program.

Activity
Every month we will have an optional activity that can be done together during your meeting.
In honor of our theme of the month, we encourage you to build a Family Story Tree.
1. Grab a piece of paper and pen.
2. Spend a few minutes building out a simple family tree, include your parents, siblings, grandparents, spouse, children, etc. If you want to go back multiple generations, see how far back you can go. Also, if you want to add all your aunts, uncles, and cousins, go for it!
3. Share your trees with each other.
